What Tt Do In Berlin?
Where does one start! Here are a few Palmer Collins Suggestions (based on our experience) the link at the end is to the Berlin Tourist Office site where specific information can be found for museums, galleries, the arts, nightlife and shopping.
Shopping
A great start is the KaDeWe in the Ku'damm area of the city www.Kadewe.de (then click the english version) - NO VISIT TO BERLIN IS COMPLETE WIHOUT A VISIT TO THIS STORE - PALMER COLLINS INTERNATIONAL STAFF WILL CHECK, AS THIS IS COMPULSORY! Every designer label that you can imagine and also in our opinion on the 5th floor one of the best foodhalls on earth. Absolute shopping paradise. For this store one must allow a morning. Friday evening the store is open until 10pm and allows relaxed shopping often without the crowds. A great way to relax after a day of property viewings.
Elegant Friedrichstraße is the perfect place to shop or stroll through boutiques and noble department stores.
Hackesche Höfe A nice place for a stroll around the trendy boutiques and galleries.
Nightlife
Berlin has some of the finest nightspots in the world - from lively to classy. From hip-hop to Jazz.
Food
A foodlovers heaven. The city is the home of many excellent famous (and not so famous) international chefs. Food from all over the world.
Architecture
No visit would be complete without a visit to Brandenburg Gate, the Schloss Charlottenberg or the Parliament Building (Reichstag). The Sony Center in Potsdamer Platz is another must see - this area is great for wandering at leisure and shopping too.
Arts
Berlin has numerous opportunites to experience international music and dance. Below are the classical opportunities - there are many international pop and rock concerts in the city every year as well as local 'gigs' in various locations around the city.
